Influenced by drummers such as Cozy Powell
and John Bonam, Rikard has solidified himself in the metal scene playing for the
heavyweights Jag Panzer since the early-mid 80's. Jag Panzer has and will
continue to astound fans at numerous tours and festivals all over the world.
Thanks to John Hererra, Ballistic's
producer/engineer here in the states, Rikard and Tom hooked up in
September of 2002 and immediately started writing intense thrash metal
tunes! According to Gattis, the writing process is incredible; bouncing
ideas back and forth between he and Rikard until the perfect sound
immerges. "Rikard brings intense heaviness and power to the music,
and pretty much can take an ordinary riff and make it kick ass! And the
riffs that are kick ass to begin with become incredible!"
